    ニュージーランドの作曲家、ダグラス・リルバーンの管弦楽作品集。 演奏はジェームズ・ジャッド指揮、ニュージーランド交響楽団である。 このCDに収録されたリルバーンの作品は、比較的若い頃に書かれた作品が中心で、後期ロマン派のようなオーケストレーション、北欧の作曲家や師匠R.W.ウィリアムズのような作風が特徴。 聴きやすく作品の質は高いが、よくも悪くも地味な印象を受ける。 但し、演奏は大変充実しており、入門盤としてはおすすめだろう。 2004年録音、音質良好。
