大瀧詠一の主宰するナイアガラ・レーベルの第1弾作品でありシュガー・ベイブ唯一のアルバム『SONGS』。『SONGS -40th Anniversary Ultimate Edition-』アナログ盤では、最新リマスタリング音源を重量盤180g仕様のディスク2枚に分けて4面に収録されており、音質にもこだわった内容となっている。カッティングは巨匠・小鐵 徹（JVCマスタリングセンター）が担当。
山下達郎によるライナーノーツ、貴重写真満載のブックレット付きで完全生産限定盤となっている。
