Having sung all other roles on stage with enormous success (Salzburg Festival, Munich State Opera and just recently Frankfurt Opera) Christian Gerhaher sings the famous Leporello aria for the first time. The album features all the big baritone arias from Mozarts most well-known operas. Incorporating by Kristian Bezuidenhout and Avi Avital the Freiburger Barockorchester has a long and distinguished career as an Mozart orchestra, including numerous recordings under the baton of Ren Jacobs Together with the Freiburger Barockorchester, Christian Gerhaher will present the CD repertoire in October 2015 (Luxembourg) and February 2016 including Cologne (Germany), Vienna (Austria), Budapest (Hungary), New York (US), Cornell (US) and Dublin (Ireland) (exact dates and more information to follow)
