大ヒットアルバム『Risqué (危険な関係)』に続く形で 1980年に発表された４thアルバム『Real People』。「Open Up」「Rebels Are We」「I Got Protection」などの人気ダンスチューンを収録。『Take It Off』を挟んで 82年に発表された『Tongue in Chic』は、バーナード・エドワーズのベースが冴える「City Lights」やシングル曲「Hangin'」などを収録した、アーバンなブラコン〜クワイエットストーム色を強めた佳作。
