Digitally remastered edition of this 1970 album packaged in a digipak complete with a 4-page booklet plus bonus tracks, celebrating 50 years since the release of Family's debut studio album. Growing out of the R&B boom of the early 60s, Family's sound evolved into a unique mix of progressive rock, blues, folk, jazz, psychedelia and high energy rock n roll built around the distinctive vocals of frontman Roger Chapman, Charlie Whitney's innovative guitar playing and Rob Townsend's thunderous drumming. A Song For Me was released at the start of 1970 and the first album with the band's revised line-up with John Weider replacing Ric Grech on bass and Poli Palmer replacing Jim King. The album features the classic Family tracks Drowned In Wine, The Cat & The Rat and the title track, the album reached #4 in the UK charts when it was released.
