1971年、ピーター・ガブリエル、スティーヴ・ハケット、フィル・コリンズ、トニー・バンクス、マイク・ラザフォードの ”黄金のラインナップ” となったジェネシス。同年発表の３rdアルバム『Nursery Cryme』から、翌72年の４thアルバム『Foxtrot』発表前後に出演した BBC「サウンド・オブ・70s」「イン・コンサート」「トップ・ギア」、同局でのセッション音源などをデジタルリマスターで一挙収録。

古くから超良好なサウンドボード音源の存在も知られている「イン・コンサート」では、「The Musical Box」「The Return Of The Giant Hogweed」といった大曲２曲を堂々披露。

また『Foxtrot』発表直前の「トップ・ギア」出演回では、「Watcher Of The Skies」「Get'em Out By Friday」に加え、「I Know What I Like」のシングルのＢ面として発表されることになるレア曲「Twilight Alehouse」も披露している。
