Digitally remastered and expanded deluxe two disc (CD + NTSC/Region 0 DVD) edition of this 1978 album. With remastering overseen by Oldfield himself, the packages contain a variety of rare material and contain a brand new 5.1 mix by Oldfield on DVD, as well as footage from his 1979 concert tour that supported the album. Also include 'Guilty', Oldfield's legendary 1979 single recorded in New York City at the height of the disco movement. Few expected the man who crafted 25 minute sides of symphonic rock to hit the dance floor with such lan. With artwork overseen by Oldfield and extensive notes, Incantations is the marvelous next installment of Mike Oldfield's compelling catalog. Universal.

この作品がLPとして発売された頃、NHKFMの、crossover elevenという番組でよくINCANTATIONS　part4がかかっていましたね。懐かしいです。このPART４のライブ映像が見れるなんて、最高!!!!それだけで星５つです!!!!

１９８１年から30年以上　たまにこのincantationsを聴きますが 今回は私にとって　パイプ・チューンとピアノのインプロビゼーションが 特別良かったです～！DVDは驚きのエックスポーズドLiveでお値打ち価格。 これでI II III　Ⅳと　そろいましたが・・mike の姉・弟も若かった～♪

本作にリマスターは不要と思うので、レア・トラックのみ１枚組で出して欲しかった。ちなみに、レア・トラック集ならば即買いでした。 実際、今回の企画の売りのポイントは、レア・トラックにあり、他はオマケのようにしか思えません。　SHM-CDとその価格については、もう何も言うことはありません。
