Product Description

Japanese original release. Santana's Abraxas becomes available as SA-CD Multi Hybrid edition for the first time in the world. The SACD layer uses a DSD master converted from the original Quadraphonic (4ch) master. The CD layer uses 2ch mix master from SACD (latest remastering). Features a 7-inch mini LP cover artwork faithfully replicating the quadraphonic LP (released in Japan) design. Includes cover artwork(s) (Japanese edition single) and a poster replica.

わたしも、このシリーズはジェフ・ベック、マイルス・ディヴィス、このサンタナと購入しています。サンタナの場合は、ギター、キーボードに加え、打楽器奏者がフィーチャーされるので、4chの効果は抜群です。当時の４chミックスがあるならば、『３rdアルバム』『キャラバンサライ』も出してほしいです。

名作として定評があり、既に多くのファンがお持ちと思うが、もし、マルチ・チャンネルの再生環境がおありなら、文句無くおすすめしたい。SHM-CDとか、そんなレベルじゃないから。 ただし、このシリーズ全般に感じることだが、サイズ（シングル・レコードの大きさ）と価格には大いに不満だ（よって★ひとつ減）。とくに、本作は他の１枚物よりもかなり高額！ まあ、レコード会社の方も、おじさんの大人買いを想定しているのでしょう...
