紅一点 アネク・ヴァン・ガースバーゲン擁するオランダのゴシック・メタル/ロック・バンドの５作目。荘厳で透明感のあるゴシック・サウンドが２作続いたが、今回は少し方向性が変わっている。RADIOHEAD らに影響を受けたと思われるテクノ・サウンドへの接近である。Gatheringに限らず Paradise Lost や Tiamat など、最近ヨーロッパのゴシックで流行っている手法だ。このアルバムのテーマは宇宙。メカっぽい打ち込みが近未来を演出している。しかし、情熱的なヴォーカルと、センスのいいリフは健在で、静かなオープニングの 1. Frail　ハードなミッ
