ヒップホップ･レジェンド、Lord Finesseのプロデュース作品を自ら選曲したというオフィシャル･ワーク集！しかも収録されている楽曲は、90年代中期のいわゆる全盛期の作品が中心。あの当時、活発だったインディーズ･レーベルにフィネスが残した音源の数々は、そのほとんどが12インチ・シングルでの発表であったので、この初CD化は快挙と言っていいでしょう。Pitch Black、AK Skillz、Ill Biskits、Gound Floor、Shorty Long等懐かしい名前が並びます。収録曲の中には、ヒップホップ･クラシックとして名高いDr Dreの"Message"のデモ･ヴァージョンという珍品も収録。このデモ･ヴァージョンはDr Dreの代わりにフィネスが、Mary J Bligeの代わりにCrystal Johnsonが参加しています。色々な意味であの頃を思い出す貴重な1枚！

「Next Level(Premier RMX)」と同ネタ「Ghetto」、InterludeでのPremierとの共演や「The Rhythm」へのGodfather Donの参加などヒップホップファンを楽しませる要素満載のレア曲集。朋友Big Lの曲や、自身がFunky Man名義でリリースしたDiamond Dとの「Do Your Thing」などD.I.T.C.ファンなら持っていたい曲が収録されているのも嬉しい限り。

“22 Years”、このトラックは大好きです。自分的にはfinesseにラップしてもらいたいくらい。。CD-R盤とは内容が若干違うんですね！
