His performances of Mozart’s sonatas are really amazing, so I made a decision -- to go to his Vienna, Paris, and Berlin European tour. I was deeply attracted by his Mozart when I sat in the music hall. The live concert were incredibly wonderful. The innocence and sacredness of K. 331, the loss and shadows of K. 310, the darkness, stormimg, and struggles of K. 475 and K. 457 will leave you stunned. The impact of the live concert was enormous compared to the album recording. At the end of each concert, Yundi Li was enbraced by the warming applause and flowers from the audience, which was a spectacular scene that I had never seen before at any other concert. It wasn’t the audience sitting in the front row applauding between movements; on the contrary, the applause came from the back. At the end of the concert, I saw a lot of audience who had bought flowers themselves to give to the musician. On the way back, the pianist was followed by hundreds of audience including white guys who wanted his autograph and applauded him. It was the first time I had seen such a scene. I hope Yundi Li will come to Japan for a tour soon!
