オリエンタル・メタルのパイオニア“ORPHANED LAND (オーファンド・ランド)”バンド結成30周年記念ライヴを収めたアルバム『A Heaven You May Create』

1991年にイスラエルで結成。翌年RESURRECTIONから改名され誕生したORPHANED LAND（オーファンド・ランド）。1994年にアルバム『SAHARA』でデビュー、プログレッシヴメタル、フォークメタルに、複数の言語を駆使し、対話、友好、そして平和を願う詩の世界、さらにオリエンタルなメロディーをブレンドさせた唯一無二のサウンドを奏で、母国イスラエルで確固たる地位を築いてきたバンドである。まだ、新型コロナウイルスによるパンデミックに見舞われていた2021年6月10日、バンドはテルアビブ最大級のコンサート・ホールHeichal HaTarbutで60人編成のオーケストラを従え、結成30周年記念ライヴを開催した。収容人数限界の2,500人を前に披露されたパフォーマンスを収録したのが最新ライヴ・アルバム『A Heaven You May Create』である。今回発売されるCD+DVDのCDには、現在までのバンドのディスコグラフィを網羅し、ファンから愛される「All is One」、深く内省的な楽曲「Birth of the Three」、イスラエル人シンガーNoa Gruman(Hellscore Choir)を招いた「The Cave」、「Sapari」など全13曲収録。彼らの音楽を通してエモーショナルな旅へと我々を導いてくれる。レコーディングとミックスを担当しているのはメンバーのIdan Amsalem。DVDには、オリエンタルメタルの元祖といわれるバンドのダイナミックでパワフルな演奏に加えて、魅惑的なステージを視覚的にも味わえるとともに、3曲のボーナス・トラック映像が追加収録され、バンドの偉大なる歴史を祝福する豪華な内容となっている。
