デビュー前の音源から時系列で全音源をお届けしてきた本シリーズの第6作目は、1965年5月10日の米国シカゴのチェススタジオでのレコーディングから始まります。
「タイム・イズ・オン・マイ・サイド」、「ラストタイム」の英米でのヒットで人気を決定付けたストーンズは、遂にここで歴史的なロックソング「サティスファクション」を生み出します(録音はRCAスタジオ)。


熱狂的な人気のもと、休む間もないライヴツアーの日々の中、次なるシングル「一人ぼっちの世界/Get Off of My Cloud」も完成させ、こちらも大ヒット。アンファンテリブル=反抗する若者世代の代弁者としての地位を不動のものとします。そんな多忙の中でも、ロンドンでエリック・クラプトン、ジミー・ペイジとセッションしたり、ジェイムス・ブラウンのバラッド「トライ・ミー」にも挑戦するなど貴重な未発表録音もあります。マリアンヌ・フェイスフルへ提供した「涙あふれて/As Tears Go By」も、ストリングスを導入してストーンズとして録音。
