Ａ.シフによるベートーヴェンのソナタ全集の中で、第８巻（Ｏｐ.109-111）と並んで好きな巻がこれ。特にワルトシュタインがお気に入り。あくまで私個人のイメージだが、聴いていて自然にわくわくしてくる第１楽章。明るい森の中で物思いにふけるような静かな第２楽章、続けてそよ風（時々風力が強まる時もある）が吹き抜けるように爽やかな第３楽章。　　もちろんテンペストなどが含まれるＯｐ.31のソナタ群も若きベートーヴェンの才気が溢れる、はつらつとした演奏でお勧めできる。
