Toru Hashimoto of Suburban Factory is back in perfect form with this compilation for Apres-Midi (a.m.) records. Light and breezy, this collection brings together recordings which calm the soul and motivate the spirit. Heavily inspired by the late sixties, seventies and eighties jazz vocal and easy listening adult oriented music scene, these artists are bringing certain timelessness to their songs. From the L.A. based Gaby Hernandez ”Mangos and Pears” to the lush melody of Brazilian Pedro Bernardo ”Circo Marimbondo” this entire CD is a pure listening pleasure. This collection intuitively continues the tradition of great playlists culled from the obscure to the popular, but heard in a new, fresh light. If you have a fondness for music that doesn’t overwhelm but rather gently informs, Seaside FM 80.4 is not to be missed.

Haven’t We Met? is a compilation 10 years in the making, but worth the wait!

This CD sparkles with interesting classics and memorable new songs from some of the best Jazz musicians and vocalists working in the field today.

The music contained in this collection is what you would expect from Cafe Apres-midi and Suburbia Factory, only the finest.

From the opening track ”A Beginning Dream” by Triste Janero, continuing with ”Bumblebee” by the great Roman Andren, and ”My Lover” by Lui Williams this continues to please throughout the incredible playlist.

New interpretations of familiar compositions such as Sade’s ”Kiss Of Life” performed by Rachel Z and the Beatle’s ”If I Fell” performed by Nando Lauria breathe an air of freshness.

If you love classic Jazz, and beautifully lush vocals, to truly create a mood, this CD is a must!
