METALLICA の大ヒット作『Metallica』(ブラック・アルバム)30周年記念盤登場！

METALLICA が1991年に発表し、収録曲「Enter Sandman」、「The Unforgiven」、「Nothing Else Matters」、「Wherever I May Roam」、「Sad But True」等がシングルカットされ、世界で3,500万枚を超える売り上げを記録した名盤5thアルバム『Metallica』(通称：ブラック・アルバム)のリリース30周年を記念したリマスターエディションが登場。

オリジナルアルバムのリマスターは、9thアルバム『Death Magnetic』(2008)以降の作品のミキシングなどを手掛け、近年のリマスター再発盤(本作も含む)のエグゼクティブ・プロデューサーであるグレッグ・フィデルマンが担当。オリジナルアルバム以外のコンテンツは『...and Justice for All』の2018年再発盤のリマスタリングを担当したルーベン・コヘンがリマスター。

ライブ、ラフミックス、デモ等、多数の未発表コンテンツを収録し、120ページのハードカバーブックレットやストラップ、ギターピック等が付属した14CD + 6LP + 6DVDの完全限定の豪華ボックスセットと、リマスター本編に厳選されたレア音源を収録したボーナスディスク2枚が付いた3CDエディション、リマスター通常盤1CD、アナログ盤2LP(輸入盤のみ)でリリース。
