いくつかあるパット・メセニーのジャズトリオ、今回は当時新進気鋭（いまやメジャープレーヤー）の Larry Grenadier ベースと Bill Stewart ドラムスとタッグを組んで、タイトル通り 2000年にリリースしたアルバム。 コルトレーンの「Giant Steps」やウェイン・ショーター「Capricorn」の先人の曲と、「Lone Jack」や「Travels」のパットメセニーグループ時代の曲も入れながら、うんまいこと融合（フュージョン？）させています。 ここでのトライは次の「Trio → Live 」に引き継がれ、大輪の花を咲かせてます。
