THRAK 2015を24/96 5.1chで聴きました。のっけから、もう音そのものに、まさに「王者」の余裕と風格を感じます。90年代のメタルクリムゾンによる、新世代の「太陽と戦慄」。ジャケットのイメージを音化したような素晴らしいアルバムです。5.1chの方が、カッコよさが段違いですね。

King Crimson

プログレッシヴ・ロックの代表格として数え上げられるキング・クリムゾン。その中心となるロバート・フリップの独特の思考法や、はっきりとしたテーマを掘り下げた音楽的探求の手法は、現在も他に類をみないスタイルだ。またクリムゾンが伝説として語られる要因は、彼らが現れた60年代後期から70年代初期の時期にかけて、彼らの音楽がロックの概念自体を揺るがすような刺激に満ちていた、ということが挙げられる。
